Composed of clay-limestone soil, slightly heavier than in western Lavaux, the Epesses vineyards are renowned for producing wines of robust constitution. Situated on the shores of Lake Geneva, the slope can be very steep, rising from the lake to almost 600 m. The wines of Epesses have a discreet bouquet when young, but become fully assertive after a few months in the bottle. They exude fruity and spicy aromas, with a subtle peppery character. Their strong personality ends on a pleasantly bitter note.
We are proud to work in this sumptuous but no less capricious vineyard handed down to us by our ancestors. For us, “family” and “tradition” are not empty words. Let us tell you our story.
